Would you like to paint larger but you’re afraid to make the leap? In this 2 1/2 day workshop you will explore the creation of non-objective paintings on a surface larger than you ever have before and discover the thrill of making larger, bolder marks on a bigger surface. We will use large paper and unstretched canvas as well as acrylic paints and a variety of drawing tools. Through a series of guided exercises as well as independent exploration, you will enter this exciting new land. Various tools with which to paint large will be provided. As the class size is limited to 6, there will be an opportunity to paint on the floor, if desired, as well as outside, weather permitting. Materials list to be provided one month prior to the workshop.
